Baber AME visiting Artisan

Sunday, August 31

Our friends from Baber African Methodist Episcopal church are coming to visit! Shared worship and a shared meal should make for a wonderful day! For this event to be a success, we need your help with a few things: food prep, courteous parking, sitting close together, and yes: arriving ON TIME.

Food: we need several more people to bring sides for our cookout following worship. If you can make or purchase potato salad, pasta salad, green salad, or baked beans, please today!

Parking: please plan to park on the street unless you are physically unable to do so. There is plenty of on-street parking on S. Clinton Ave., Field St., and Highland Parkway. Arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time. We also need a few people to volunteer to direct parking. If you’re willing to help out in this way, today.

Seating: We are expecting a huge crowd, and it is imperative that we maximize our space! When you arrive, please find a seat near the front as soon as you can. Please sit close together. And please sit near someone you don’t know!

Cost of tent: We recently decided to rent a tent to ensure we’d be able to eat outdoors even if the weather doesn’t cooperate. If you can help offset the cost of the tent ($380), please mark your check accordingly or email before making a contribution online.

Arrive on time: Actually, strike that. Arrive early. Ten minutes early. Fifteen, even.
